ARTIST NOTES: On a recent trip to Tasmania, I visited Bruny Island for the first time. The majestic and timeless eucalypts, towering over the sand, are a feature at Two Tree Point. Trees like this are not often seen at Victorian beaches, most of which have been stripped of natural shade. They are the inspiration for this painting as they stand like ancient sentinels against the morning glow in the autumn sky.
