ARTIST PROFILE: CAROLE NEALE: 2023. I HAVE HAD A LIFE-TIME INTEREST IN ART SINCE ATTENDING MALVERN GIRLS' WHERE THEY HAD AN EXCELLENT CURRICULUM IN ART AND CRAFTS. IN 1985 I COMMENCED ART LESSONS. THE MEDIUM WAS OIL AND THE THE METHOD TONAL. A CONSIDERABLE TIME WAS SPENT PAINTING IN BLACK AND WHITE BEFORE MOVING ON TO THE USE OF COLOUR. I HAVE CONTINUED TO PAINT WITH THE TONAL METHOD USING MEDIUMS - OIL, PASTEL AND ACRYLIC. FOR MANY YEARS I ATTENDED TUTORED CLASSES WITH SOME EXCELLENT TEACHERS. SINCE 2009 I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF RINGWOOD ART SOCIETY. I HAVE ENJOYED SOME SUCCESS DURING THIS TIME AND MY MOST RECENT WORK TO SELL WAS AT CAMBERWELL ROTARY ART SHOW IN 2022. CURRENTLY I AM WORKING IN PASTELS AND ALSO HAVE AN INTEREST IN ABSTRACT WORK.
FOR ME PAINTING IS LIKE A FORM OF MEDITATION, USING AN ENERGY FROM WITHIN THAT IS GOOD FOR BODY AND SOUL. |
