Irene Previn is a contemporary Australian artist working in the field of digital art and photography, whose current work explores her obsession with the sea, the sky, and incongruous associations of objects.
Her practice is informed by surrealism and explores the mischievous interplay between whimsical and sinister elements with the intention of provoking a visceral response.
The resulting assemblages created from her imagination are dream-like, and include combinations from her archive of landscape photography and images from her personal collection of vintage ephemera.
Irene Previn has studied visual communication and visual art, has managed her own freelance design consultancy and taught graphic design at tertiary level in Australia. |
